Dunno if this guy could be considered a jerk or not but here goes.

I was playing boon prot on a random arenas team, turns out we were really good at what we did. 5 flawlesses in a row, then we got 3 flawlesses in the next 5 matches we won. We finally got to the team arenas we run into a noob team whose sole purpose is to annoy people. They have one sin running around and ressing team members using shadow form to make sure it isnt interrupted. The rest, the builds i don't remember.

Next game in the team arenas, we ran into a team that had a rather annoying mesmer, using blackout and diversion on me whenever possable. We died since i was unable to heal most of the time. One player decided to complain.

Him: ****ing res faster! I was half dead so I couldn't res.
Me: I have a blackout mesmer on me, i cant res you with skills almost constantly disabled.
Him: (nothing) *leaves*

He left round the time we left, and he was set to offline so i was being ignored by him. Wonder why a legit player had to blow up at us for losing to an organized TA team as a Random Arenas team with no organization whatsoever.

Lol Does it make me a jerk going into a HA Group with only running skills and when we get to the battle, only run around and SCREAM LEERROOYY JEEENKINS. And when i die "Least i have chicken!" and "Res NE!!111". Lol I got into one group, did it, and then made a new char and did it to the same group! LOL Think B4 you accpet a person named Leeroy jenkins or Lj for eva into your group.

You people may never know the pleasures of being being a jerk. The biggest jerk i have encountered is me.

Well, this is a sad story of a friend transforming into a true noob and me becoming, a bit of a jerk, but at least she was the one who started it. This was a long conversation so ill give you the short and sweet version.

Me: Hello.
Her: Hi.
Me: If you could be any GW class in real life, what would you be? (just stirring up conversation, i was extremely bored)
Her: I would be a touchie.
Me: Why, thats a horrible build.
Her: Touch Rangers are a godly overpowered gay build that should be nerfed SOON.
Me: (I explain to her about snaring/kiting and how it pwnes touch rangers, and i tell her that any of my builds can pwn a touchie, i give her an example)
Her: Ever ab'd before?
Me: I ab all the time.
Her: Which side?
Me: Kurzick.
Her: NO WONDER! They're all in touchie land over there.
Me: I only recently became a kurzick, i did all my abing as a luxon, and i pwned many a touch ranger. Just because they pwn newbs doesn't mean they have to be nerfed.
Her: They pwn everyone.
Me: What did I just get through telling you about how every build i have pwns touchies?
Her: Cept you.
Earlier she had made comments and called me a newb in one of them.
Me: So, I'm a newb, and I pwn touch rangers, should tell you something.
Her: Touch Rangers are a Godly Overpowered build and need NERFED NOW!
Me: Don't complain about touch rangers, they run a crappy build that is easily killed. Go to the Guildwarsguru forums, complain there, see what you get as responses.

Me: Which explains how you are so undereducated in how to play this game.
Her: Anyone with FoW armor has been playing a lot longer than you.
Me: Ebayer. Must be nice to use your mom's charge card to get 1 mill on GW.

I was kinda the jerk there, but she deserved it, B*otching about touchies even tho they are easy to pwn. I tell everyone on alliance chat what happened, they got a kick out of it.

A warrior was begging to buy or be given a sword in pre-searing. I asked what he had to offer - he didn't have 1/2 my asking price for my sword, and I told him so. He kept spamming me with 1/2 price offers and promises to pay later then started cursing me out when I wouldn't sell to him, even after I let him know he could craft a Rinblade (almost as good as the sword I was selling) in Ascalon for less than what he was offering. Needless to say, all he got out of it was a spot on my Ignore list.

umm.. i think i'm tired of hearing and reading about this post on-going!! of course the world isn't perfect.. sure there are jerks, but sometimes you just have to deal with it.. sure if they leave party and leave group hanging.. that sucks but its life... but if its you that are being scammed.. well tough luck!! and next time be a better trader!!

I think this may be overexpanding the definition of "jerk" here. Jerk implies action or the wasting of an involuntary party's time or resources. (Like the poster before you who thinks Leroy Jenkins is the high water mark of comedy.)

Simply having a conversation with your friend is not being a jerk, even if the conversation is a really stupid one.

ok heres one of my in RA

i decided to play a mesmer for once one of the first times for me actually (for real play not just playing around)

i go in with energy denial skills and some interupts also the imagine berden for the wars

.

afetr a while into it i faought a group with 1 war and 3 monks (1 healer 1 was heal/prot and 1 smite). i target the heavy healer first to cripple them becuase the heal/prot was mostly boon skills acvtually.

i basically take out all the healers skills through rechrage time and other methods and he rage quits after i dont allow anoy of his "buds" to rez him. (also thanks to a ranger in my group who brought FS). the war starts to tank me after a while and i burden him. (he was a really good war/mo though and stayed alive and wouldnt get killed without the help of monk heals.) and this is where all the problems start...

all the ppl in this convosa. is the opposing side all my team didnt say a word in it.

War: stop burdening me noob and fight me
ME: why? its called strategy and im a mes anyway i know i wont win in a melee combat
Mo1:NOOD MESMER!!!!!!!!!

mo 2 is healing and proting in the back and i target him now

Mo2: stop man its getting annoying
Me: i will. just stop proting
Mo2: thats stupid why would i do that?
Me: ok..so why should i stop?
Mo1: (still repeating NOOB MESMER!!)
War: (leaves after a while of also spamming)

we take down the smiter after a while but the prot monk keeps on running around yellign random stuff....

later after i leave i guess one of the monks reconized me and played this little trick on me

Mo: (MY NAME) is giving away free ectos and godly weapons!! CUASE HIS QUITING GW!!!!!

i get about a million pms from noobs who still fall for tricks liek this.

so i log off and log back on delete my mes and problem solved

he wasnt luckign enough to get a spot on my ignore list

I'm selling amber in HZH... 1 amber for 1k, (back when the price was up) and this guy starts spamming me, trying to trade all these crap rares for amber. We're talking rares this guy obviously chest farmed and is trying to push off on a sucker. I politely say no thanks, but he doesn't get the message, and starts saying how I'm a noob, and how his "father works for A-net" and is going to ban me... yeah, thank god for the ignore list.

I've encountered a jerk myself at the Alliance battles.

I was getting hit by minions from an MM and my whole party was getting destroyed. They were with all the teams together versus only my team... Then the warrior starts screaming : HEAL ME HEAL ME HEAL ME!!! While I was having a hard time keeping myself alive... I'm selfish , sorry about that :P
We died and he said : noob monk! and he left... oh well we won at the end :P

forget if ive posted in here, but even if i have, i wouldnt have posted this because its rather recent. i was group for a mission when it was brought to our leaders attention that we needed a 2nd monk. he asks me what the shape of italy is and i replied a boot...he then kicked me. being in a bit of tired state, i was rather annoyed by this and i spammed him until he finally took someone off his ignore list to put me on. half an hour later i start getting masses of PMs. turns out the guy spammed every town with the classic 'XXX is giving away 100k to the first 5 to PM her!!' that was before i knew that i could change my status to offline or do not disturb...

Today in Random Arenas, I decided to fish out my rusty boon prot. We were on a pretty good win streak when we faced a team with a boon prot, a touch ranger, a sword warrior, and something else. The touch ranger and warrior immediately run at me, so I kite them in a circle for the whole round. After the warrior dies, he says something along the lines of "Stop running you vagina." I calmly explain to him that I was kiting to reduce damage, and he flames me, maintaining that I wasn't kiting but running, because kiting entails actually doing something (?).
